1. Amakipkip Global Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Amakipkip, we treat every shipment as an extension of our brand promise: fast, safe, and premium delivery—worldwide. This policy governs all purchases made via amakipkip.com and applies to operations under Amakipkip Trading Enterprise PTY Ltd (South Africa) and Amakipkip LLC (USA).

This policy is drafted in accordance with the South African Consumer Protection Act (No. 68 of 2008), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), and US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule.

1.1. General Fulfillment Terms

  • Third-Party Delivery: All deliveries are fulfilled through trusted third-party courier services. While we aim to meet all advertised timeframes, Amakipkip is not liable for delays caused by courier routing, weather, strikes, customs inspections, or "Acts of God."

  • Dispatch Schedule: Orders are processed Monday through Friday. We do not dispatch on weekends or public holidays in South Africa or the United States.

  • Tracking: You will receive a tracking link via email and/or SMS once your parcel has been booked and dispatched.


2. Domestic Shipping – South Africa

Operated by Amakipkip (South Africa).

1.2.1 Express Door-to-Door (Main Centers) – FREE

  • Provider: Fastway Couriers or similar premium partners.

  • Estimated Delivery: 7 to 14 business days.

  • Sale Items: Please note that a shipping fee of R120.00 (ZAR) applies to all items purchased during promotional sale periods.

1.2.2 Special Outlying Areas (SOA) – FREE If your suburb is flagged as "unserviced" or a "special outlying area," our team will contact you to arrange an alternative method at no extra cost:

  • PAXI (Store-to-Store): Collection at your designated PEP store.

  • PostNet (Store-to-Store): Collection at your designated PostNet branch.

  • Note: You will be notified via SMS when your parcel is ready for collection.


1.3. International & USA Shipping

Operated by Amakipkip LLC (USA + Global) and Amakipkip PTY Ltd (South Africa)

We ship to over 220 countries via our global logistics partners.

  • Carriers: DHL Express or FEDEX.

  • Rate: FREE (Standard International).

  • Transit Time: 7 to 14 business days (Urban/Major Hubs).

1.3.1 Customs, Duties & Taxes (International) In accordance with international trade laws, the recipient is the "Importer of Record." The customer is responsible for all local VAT, import duties, brokerage fees, or clearance charges levied by the destination country.

3.2 Remote Area Surcharges If your address is designated as a "Remote Area" by DHL/FedEx, a surcharge may apply. We will contact you for approval and payment of this surcharge before dispatching your order.


1.4. Delivery Protocols & Failure to Deliver

  • Security: A signature or a secure PIN (for PAXI/PostNet) is required upon delivery to ensure your gear reaches you safely.

  • Failed Attempts: If delivery fails after two attempts due to customer unavailability or incorrect address details, the parcel will be returned to our warehouse. The customer will be responsible for re-shipping fees.

  • Restricted Addresses: We cannot deliver to PO Boxes or APO/FPO (military) addresses via courier. Please provide a valid physical street address.


1.5. Risk of Loss & Damage Claims

1.5.1 While in Transit All Amakipkip shipments are insured. If your tracking status remains stagnant for more than 48 hours, please contact amakipkiponline@gmail.com (or our designated portal) immediately so we can initiate a trace.

1.5.2 Post-Delivery Claims In compliance with the CPA and US Consumer Law:

  • Claims for "Damaged on Arrival" or missing items must be submitted within 24 hours of receipt.

  • Requirements: You must provide clear photographic evidence of the outer packaging (including the shipping label) and the state of the product inside.

1.7. Legal Updates

Amakipkip reserves the right to update this policy to reflect changes in law or courier service levels. The version posted on www.amakipkip.com at the time of your order will be the governing document for that transaction. By completing a purchase, you agree to these terms.

 



2. Amakipkip Return & Exchange Policy

We want you to be fully satisfied with your Amakipkip gear. Because we operate globally, our return policy is designed to comply with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines.

2.1. The "Change of Mind" Policy (Cooling-Off Period)

We offer a "no-questions-asked" return window for items in their original, unworn condition.

  • South Africa (ECTA Compliance): You have 7 days from the date of receipt to cancel your electronic transaction for any reason.

  • USA & Global: We extend a 14-day return window from the date of delivery for all international orders.

  • Conditions: Items must be unwashed, unworn, with all original tags attached and in original packaging.

  • Costs: For "Change of Mind" returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs and any associated duties.


2.2. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If we missed a beat and sent you something less than perfect, we will make it right at no cost to you.

  • Statutory Warranty (South Africa): In accordance with Section 56 of the CPA, all products carry an implied 6-month warranty against defects. If an item is found to be defective within 6 months of delivery, you are entitled to your choice of:

    1. A full refund.

    2. A replacement.

    3. A repair (where applicable).

  • USA & Global: If an item arrives damaged or is "not as described" (FTC Mail Order Rule), we will provide a prepaid return label and issue a full refund or replacement.

  • Note: This warranty does not cover "fair wear and tear," damage caused by negligence, or failure to follow care instructions (e.g., incorrect washing).


2.3. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and legal reasons, the following cannot be returned unless they are defective:

  • Sale/Clearance Items: All "Final Sale" items are non-returnable (except where prohibited by the CPA for defects).

  • Underwear & Swimwear: Due to health and hygiene regulations.

  • Custom/Personalized Gear: Items made to your specific specifications.

  • Gift Cards: Non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.


2.4. How to Initiate a Return

  1. Log In: Visit https://account.amakipkip.com to start your return request.

  2. Approval: Once your request is reviewed, you will receive a Return Authorization (RA) number and shipping instructions.

  3. Ship It: Pack your items securely. For South African customers, we can arrange a courier collection (fees may apply for non-defective returns). For US/Global customers, please use a tracked service.

  4. Inspection: Once received at our Johannesburg or US hub, we will inspect the items within 3–5 business days.


2.5. Refunds & Processing Times

  • Method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

  • Timeline: * South Africa: Refunds are processed within 15 business days of the return being approved (CPA requirement).

    • USA/Global: Refunds typically reflect in your account within 7–10 business days, depending on your bank.

  • Deductions: Original shipping fees and international customs duties are non-refundable for "Change of Mind" returns.


2.6. Exchanges

Due to high demand and limited drops, we cannot always guarantee an exchange for the same style/size.

  • If you need a different size, we recommend returning the original item for a refund and placing a new order immediately to secure your stock.
